Help....left it late to join....can someone please allocate me to a group. I'll hope to pass Mudchute in start plus 2.16. Managed to miss you guys in 2010 when I was pacing!!!!! This time I'll bethe idiot in a martialarts suit covered in Macmillan logos, sporting a Black Belt (Natch!). Ist London post knee op so need all the help/support I can get. Will TP be there?
Lol Mick - blame Tickled Pink I used to use my actual name of Karen but when she realised at mudchute 2010 (the first time I was this side of the fence) that not only do I drink a lot but smoke too she re-christened me
Hope everyones training is going well. I had to cut Mondays run very short but it was due to cramp in calve muscles. Have done lots of stretching feels tons better and have got myself booked in for a sports massage too so that should help lots.
Mick it will be just nice to meet u on the day if u make it down, everyone understands that keeping Phil happy is your no1 priority, are u two still running in a lot of events?
Sports massaged definetly helps, had one last night, my quads are still aching tho. Didn't realise how tight my left adductor had got either!!
Sbh have u started the spready or shall I start it?
Alright my lovelies!!!! Manic at work the rest of this week so may not be around too much, apologies in advance. Gilly if you could crack on with the spready that would be mahvluss dahlink x
Evening all... hope we are all ok? So looking forward to the day now. On the subject of tracking, I was hoping to be tracked without the need to carry a phone. I've done some research I can't really find anything. Anyone heard if Virgin will be offering this service? I suppose I could always befriend the BBC and get myself on their map
Anyway, time to answer the key questions
Forum name: Stevie H Name: Stephen Race number: Don't know. Can't find my letter!!! Will update when I eventually find it. Estimated time to mile 17: Between 3hrs and 3hrs 15mins What you'll be wearing: White/black/yellow trainers, black shorts, white short sleeve top with a JDRF runner top on top (white/yellow/blue top with PINGU on the back) Any special needs: SIS orange gel & a banana!!??? And like Claire, a kick up the backside!!
We're ever so good at butt kicking you know!!! But we always ask for sweaty hugs first lol!!!
Ok, for those of you putting requests in for things for us to have ready, you'll need to drop them off at the expo (where you pick up your number and chip etc) at the RW stand. Make sure they're clearly marked up with your name, forum name, number and support group. I work in the city so chances are I'll be ding a pick up every day and we supporters then make sure we have everything transported to mudchute on the day.
We usually have plenty of supplies of jelly babies and jaffa cakes too, although with so few supporters this year if anyone would like to contribute to that stash could I be Cheeky and ask you to leave cash at the expo rather than bags and bags of those particular items? Only they weigh a ton and all of us have to get them home and then back to London again.......;-) Asda is 2 mins down the road from our spot and they're well used to us doing repeated shopping trips!!!!!
