I live near stokes bay so its easy to find a route that I can go round there. Today the wind was blowing side on down there was hoping it would be behing at some point.
Yes, good one with the dairy Zoe! After a few weeks off I am easing back into things now. Two nights on the treadmill this week and did a 10 tonight in 40"42. Felt fairly comfortable and had a bit more left in me so quite pleased! I like to timetrail myself on the treadmill a lot but probably do it far too much! If I don't get a sub-40 by Stubbington i'll be quite dissapointed now. Even with a few weeks with not much running, I feel like ive definately progressed over the past month or so - this being after about 6 months or so whereby I felt I wasn't progressing much at all (well since Eastleigh!). I live by the creek at Priddy's Hard Zoe and tell you what it get's pretty windy by here too!
So how many times a week do you try to get weights in normally Squall? Are you only doing more now because you have been unable to run? And how did the physio go?
Hello Zoe i am a fan of everyday running as well and really believe it has helped me improve trying to get back to it since i've not been running as regular i seem to have gone backwards
I swear by a regular monthly massage i would have it more often if i could afford it. Make sure its a deep tissue massage yes it hurts but not for long and you'll notice the benefits
I'm getting a sports massage every week at the moment and will gradually move to a maintenance schedule. It's not the least but pleasant but effective.

How much do you lift on your deadlifts?
I ran 5.5 miles today, very windy especially down stokes bay. Found it hard today but glad I did it!
I did 5 sets of 5 at 60kg...looking to build this back up as I used to lift so much more. I think I've become pretty weak lately.
Stokes bay's a great place to run... the wind down there can be such a pain in the arse sometimes. Is that weight including the bar?

Do you not run on your gym days?
Just seen on the events forum that stubbington 10k is now full and entries closed,
Jokerman, I like keeping a diary as I am competitive but only against myself

How are you getting on jokerman?

Hahahaha...
Your schedule looks interesting. How do you feel that the 7m a day cycling to work factors into things?
What's the reason for limiting the long run to 13m?
What are your thoughts on this with regard to coming back from injury?
Yep! New shoes for running... different footwear for work with heel inserts.
Sorted for the moment... just builing the running back up slowly!
Just did an easy 3.4mi... still feeling good.
Hopefully get the all-clear from physio on friday
I'm starting to think that monthly sports massage might be the way forward... having seen how effective the massage in physio was.
Reckon I should aim to be averaging 40mpw by christmas?
Nope. 3 weeks all in all. Not too bad considering.
I've already contacted a local sports massage person with a view to once a month or more if I can afford it....
