On the App, there are 2 'ravitaillement' stations at the Bastille. 4,5k and 5k. The stations are marked by a knife and fork. AND there are 7 'Rafrai' stops marked by a glass of 'water'. Of course there isn't a key, it would be too easy. There are no powerade stations marked, 'water' = powerade??? 7 powerade stops?
I presume that 1, perhaps 2, Rafra??chi stops are powerade and the others are water stations.
I have planned by run with stations every 5k, if there are more stations then great for the thirsty runners but it doesn't change my plans. If anyone is concerned then ask at the expo.
Weedy, I'm struggling. The bloke in stripes and the kids movie.???
Hello all, I can't get a picture up for some reason but I'm decloaking anyway. This shady chap looks a bit like me anyway. Have been reading the thread here and there on the advice of tjb and will be in Paris next weekend. First marathon, first taper, first experience of being in the grip this anxiety. It's nuts.

Well done Pottermoss, braving the mayhem! are you camping in the cold at the moment?
Called it off mate, too cold at night and my calf is really playing up - would have been daft. At least I'm out of town and out of trouble for the weekend - been reading as much as I can about taper madness to reassure myself the claf is in my head but it's making it hurt any less. Sought refuge here.
i think it's gonna be minus3 tonight fella so it wouldn't have done the claf any favors.
Have you got a hotel sorted yet? - a birdy told me you might not have. There be time to sort that. I just switched hotel to one very close to the start, but the guys on here are coming in from all over, the metro runs from really early but you need to allow a bit more time due to congestion.
ah mr JB, gotta love those little birdies and their talking - I'll sort hotel after easter, plenty of time yet(for more injuries, it seems) I haven't set up my justgiving page either - am I behind schedule? What's the name of the place you are staying, I trust your commitment to researching these things.
I'm at the royal elysees - but it appears to be chocca - there's millions of hotels around there so it's just a case of getting yer finger out and picking one. - my research is not that well documented, its clicking on google and saying to myself - "that place looks alright" and then reading a review on trip advisor, booking a hotel and then getting told by someone else that it aint all that - so cancelling it and then booking something else. In other words - my judgement is pony.
rest your phantom paranoid "injury" pains dude. You've done a hell of a lot of great running the last few months. Next sunday, wake up fresh and SMASH IT!
Last long run tomorrow - very steady 12M ish. Woop! Am currently equal parts scared and excited. This time next week, I'll hopefully be asleep after a restful day having picked up number etc at the Expo.
TrickyDicky - probably slightly too late, but do you think it'd be possible to add me and Mr KS to the PP list? No worries if not, we can always swing past and sit if free, or say hello and find pasta somewhere else if not! What time is the meal?
Hi everyone, back from gallivanting across that Larndan and Essex. Horrible queues to get home on the Channel Tunnel. Anyway, yes Rob did see a message on FriendFace and don't mind being silly and poking around.
Fiona. Delighted your 22.5miler went well considering your near death experience last year. Well done Princess.
Ian, RR, RS and TJB. Terrific photo of you on Westminster Bridge. Are we going to have fun on ITLR or what?!
Haven't done any exercise since Tuesday morning. Boy am I missing it. Have family staying over for the Easter weekend so I'm all tied up in museums and over-eating rich Belgian food. Sleep well and don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight!
I'm glad I'm not the only one whose run was horrible, legs feel aweful, etc. It means that we are all actually fine, and this is quite normal (for us).
I know it's buried in here somewhere, and I'm ashamed to ask, but can someone post the addresses of Pasta Pappas and Corcorans? Pleeez?

i like that weather!
Simon, I know what a 'wee run' is but ...

4.5k..before Bastille
10k...at the zoo
15.3...at the incline near the racecourse in the Bois de V
20.5k
22k...for Powerade
23.8
29k ...Pont d’Iena
34.7...after Rolland Garros
33k...last year, there was Powerade here
40.4k
At the Finish.

'Bit worried that today's trot has knackered me. I'm off to bed.
