If anyone spots a bald headed geezer wearing a navy blue team GB hoodie wandering around the pub Sunday evening gimme a shout. Have a safe trip and great race everyone.
Emmy, Orbutt, Kaz - thanks! Just had flights rearranged via Dusseldorf. There is no flight to Brussels from Newcastle anymore - I think that was the problem Safe trip yourselves.
I'm pretty annoyed with Lufthansa, and disappointed they didn't warn me about this. It's been said on here before - their service seems somewhat of a shambles. Good luck everyone else with (hopefully) intact travel plans. I'm still hoping to be there late tonight.
Iain - sorry to hear your flights been messed up but glad it's sorted now.
Orbutt - I wear my medal straight after the race but once showered and changed and back out for the evening never wear it then, considered poor taste in marathon running
Ready to head to the airport after the worst nights sleep ever! But at least its only Thursday and plenty of time to make it up!
Safe travels everyone, and Good Luck. See you all Sunday night if not before!
Yay Kaz - see you in a couple of days m'lovely - once i'm done at the expo i'll come and hunt you and RS down mid saturday afternoon - ir if you are done earlier come and hunt me down
Shades - Normally I would agree with you, wear it after the race then off.
However, Law 6 states:
"Where 2 or more Marathon Runners are gathered together for the purpose of drinking alcoholic beverages in the aftermath of a race - and they may be unknown to each other - the wearing of the recently won medal of honour is compulsory."
Haven't posted before but I've found this thread really helpful over the past couple of weeks. Hope everyone has a safe, hassle free trip and a great run on Sunday. If I can drag my tired old legs away from the hotel bar I'll look out for you all in the pub.

See? It's the law
Shades - As per Orbutt, I'm afraid I also conform to the The Law. Maybe even in conjunction with the Marathon finishers t-shirt...!
Iain - the marathon finishers t-shirt is covered by appendix A, as it can only be enforced where one is provided automatically. Where financial restitution is required then appendix A makes the wearing optional.

Note to everyone going to the pub - Wear your medal, It's the Law

If you've not found us before, we'll be at the start of mini marathon about 2.45 which I believe is more or less right next to your flat!
On Saturday I get into Tegel at 14.05 if anyone is around to keep me company while I head to the Expo!
I wear my medal all day as it's a bit like having a white stick it warns people to keep out of my way as I'm a bit doddery afterwards

That being said, I'll be in mine.

Final vote on iPods. They're surely not going to haul your ass off are they ?
Sir John. No. iPods are fine.
Good luck all you Berlinites.
Does anyone know if the marathon is shown on UK TV?
Found it! Eurosport - recording, set!
Thanks HS! Just arrived. Rather difficult trip but hey. Germany is somewhat cooler than the last time we ran through hereabouts!
Bit excited now, good luck all.
