I had a good day, managing to scrape inside 1:50 for the fist time in a long time. It was good to see the reception that Mick and Phil got at the finish. Those two do get in a lot of miles on the road. I've seen them at the Watford and Great North West halfs this year.
I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought one of the mile markers was wrong. My watch showed a sub 7min mile, including a drinks station, followed by a > 8min mile. It really screwed my head up as I was already running much faster than I had planned. Fortunately I managed to hold it together to the next marker.
That was the only blip for me in an otherwise well organised event.
I had a really great day... didnt suffer with the parking like i feared. Thought it was a well organised event. The 2 hour drive back to Kent tired me out more than the race i think! That was my first half and i finished in 1:54, so i guess its a PB for me!!
If you've got any sense you either stay at home and watch it on Sky or if you really must smell the octanes..... phone Biggin Hill on 0870-443-0555(http://www.bhh.co.uk/bhh/bhh_bgps.htm )
The parking seemed better this year. We went by coach, so had no problems, but I did notice a lack of chaos at the exit that had blighted the previous 2 years. Perhaps they're learning from their mistakes.
Well done everyone on some good performances. I need the official results for confirmation, but I think I got my 3rd half marathon PB in 6 weeks, so am well pleased.
Thanks to everyone who came on the RunningBus - such a nice bunch of people again. See some of you next year I hope.
Can only add to what everyone else has said. Great organisation and no traffic problems at all. Also got a PB, 1 hour 43mins 5 secs by my watch. Will recommend this to anyone.
Congratulations to you all on taking part. Sounds like a good time was had by all. I had an absolute flyer. I set off hoping for 1:45 and came in at 1:39:50!! I think it was running a fairly consistent pace for a change that paid off. Realised at 12 miles I might just be able to get sub 1:40 so the last mile was a bit of a push. Great fun though. Even the weather was OK really. Only placed I really noticed the wind was about the 6 mile mark and in the last mile.
Still buzzing from the result and great to catch up with Mick & Phil before the start and half way round!
anyone know where the photographers are posting the pictures?
Thoroughly enjoyed the race - even if it was a bit cold at the start. I did a PB too - 2:03:59 - still heading for the sub-2hr barrier. Managed to stay with the runnersworld 9-minute mile man for 4 miles but then dropped back a bit. Maybe next time. 1 of the mile markers was definitely wrong - 1 did an 8:36 followed by an 11:02 followed by a 9:33 (which was about my average)
Took us about 40 minutes to get out of the car park which was the only dampener on the day.
Hi everyone, I was having a fantastic day out (8 minute miling, on course for my target time) when I hit 8 1/2 miles and suddenly had sharp pains in my foot. I limped back to the start, feeling utterly dejected. Thanks to those people who tried to encourage me to carry on, but it just wasn't going to happen. Now I've got to go and see the physio and see whether there's any chance of me running in the FLM. As I'm running on a golden bond place, I don't really know where I stand if I can't run. Overall, I'm feeling pretty down. Well done to everyone who finished yesterday, I just wish I was amongst you.

395! Not bad ;-0
There were 5,874 official finishers.
I think they announced ~8,800 entrants.
