Debstir- A belated thank you for your answer! My friend is going to join up with our local club now so problem solved. We have booked rooms at Fairways and got flights for £40 return from Liverpool so it's all going very well- Can't wait!
Thanks for putting the link up for the course profile Nessie. Very helpful, and not as scary as I had imagined!
BOb, my hubby took car to Dores, its an official toilet stop so lots of runners running into the pub, a lot of support around there and chance of food and drink in pub obviously, its at around 18 miles....
its traffic free up til there... there are a lot of cyclists around tho, the whole way
Bob - there are places that people in the know (i.e. Mr Nessie 2 years ago) can get to on the route by back roads, but it would be very easy to get lost, and the roads are very twisty (one is known as the corkscrew to the local car club). Dores is your best bet, as Santababy says.
Mine are EasyJet also, but they came online a few days after the Gatwick ones.
They'll probably be there soon, all I can say is keep checking. I noticed mine online, then phoned my Running Partner. He got his at £11.99, I had to pay £16.99 for one of mine.
Im back ....... Hello Shades, Nessie, Santababy & Debstir. Had to re register as I'd forgotton my old password and been Fetching instead however, its too early for me to be thinking of BLNM just now. Right off to Lochaber thread.
Hi Shades just back from a Half (Balloch to Clydebank) I forgot my password and the email address was to an old job and unretrievable. Reregistered now. Fetcheveryone suits me as I can keep tabs on my training buddies log and log all my races too. Yip see you at lochaber
Well lots of known faces and names on this thread just though I would drop in and say Hi.
I am staying in same B&B as last year nice and close to start but more importantly the finish and even more importantly only about 5 mins to weatherspoons where I assume we will have our pre and post race sessions. I am not going to do the pasta party I think we should just book a table at weatherspoons and eat their better value for money. It does seem a long way away yet lots of races to do before October.
Same here Roobs and LD. No pasta party tickets booked, I thought the same thing about Wetherspoons - their pasta dishes (or jacket tatties) are always rather tasty :-)

200m drop from start to finish!! It's a downhill race!!
(don't try and tell me otherwise)
For my next question.
Is it practical for a spectator (with a car) to view the runners at various points along the course?

So, Dores it is then!
Now all I have to do is train!

Wasn't it your new job that curtailed your forum time? that was ages ago.
I haven't yet seen the appeal of Fetching!
See you at Lochaber
Roobs - stamping my feet (or even shouting) doesn't seem to work on-line...
