Hows the Training going Belly Boy? Nice easy 6 miles for me today. Just a recovery run after yesterdays race. Well when I say recovery run, I mean more of a fat burning run to burn off all the beer and food from yesterday.
Good boy, resist the temptations from the dark side and stick to the plan for Sunday. Did you run today or yesterday and no-one saw you or didn't they see you because you didn't run? How are you feeling? Don't forget you will probably feel like crap running, like I did but as long as it isn't the injury hurting that is OK. Listen to your body mate, let the force Guide you! It is what the chinese call Chi! And I call Guinness!! lol Glad the rest of you are on form.
Hi Belly Boy, how did your run go today? Thought we would have seen you, the club run the RB course today. BB, FM and myself got 15 miles in. think the beer may be catching up with me a bit, found it hard today.
Well that depends on the night before, and whether I can drive, where is it? Also depends on the time as I have the annual Team Deviant New Years Day Dip down Caswell. Can you tell me the time and place mate. Prefer a few hills myself but may manage a flat one!
Its at the Prince of wales pub in Kenfig. Starts at 11am. Like the hills myself. This is a fast course. Its good for blowing off the cobwebs and a good start to the new year. Lets you see just how unfit Christmas has made me.
Sea swim and a can of coke sorts out my cobwebs. Will probably miss the run, unless I don't drink too much, as driving that early will be a bit dodgey! Enjoy
sorry to tell you the osteopath (me) said no! If he runs he will race and that is what we are trying to avoid, so for the minute he is doing easy runs by himself, with a view to getting him back to normal as soon as possible, overdoing it now will just delay his proper training. Sorry to be a spoil sport, but I'm hoping to stop him making the mistakes I've made in the past. Have a good run all of you and if anyone fancies a dip down Caswell let me know!
oh and if you are wondering what is it with the weird arm positions in my pic, it's a little club tradition I started! I'm actually opening a can of Guinness on the last approach to the finish line, in Pembroke Triathlon.
nice 2 see u boys running well, getting better won,t be with u on the new years day race. c how things go perhaps richard burton race if everyhing is o k
Belly Boy, can you ride a bike? or is it affecting your injury? If you can you could come and train with us on that. We are going for some longish runs on the weekend.
Have a happy new year mate and wish the family a happy one from me and my clan.
THis is the first time i,ve spoke to you since you won your prize.Well done !!!
No racing for me over the hols,I had the dreaded manflu, but its on the way out now and i am back doing alittle .
I have an entry for FLM it will be my first marathon so i am a little worried but we shall see how it goes.I think less mileage but better quality is definately the answer.I am hoping to join the PTH boys on an occasional long sunday run to cut out the monotany of along one on my own.
I was talking 2 the osteopath on the run about chinese accupuncture, so yesterday new years eve i had a chinese take away and 2 bottles of wine, today feeling good after a short run no aches or pains or pains what so ever,
guys do u think it might be the chinese herbs and spices? lol
i don t think it will be to long i will be running with u, as we are very close 2 each other on our times,
Have u had a look at the sub 3 hour training schedule which i will be following,it is a lot less milage than i would normally run,it will be very interesting,
it also means i get more rest
I did not see any red wine in the schedule would that be a problem lol
The schedule looks good except i reckon i need 2 days off a week.I dont think i can do better than about 3.15 to 3.20 but who knows. There will definately be plenty of red stuff in my fuel intake but also nice healthy food
BBB - good luck with the acupuncture. I had some treatment last year for a foot problem and I can honestly say that having a baby might have been less painful.**
Are you having a restful weekend ahead of starting your training in earnest on Monday?
